Golden Hippo is a direct-to-consumer company with a portfolio of over 20 brands in the health and wellness, beauty, and pet food sectors. Producing everything in-house, Golden Hippo hires talent from a wide range of specialties and backgrounds.

On a rapid growth trajectory, Golden Hippo have been experiencing their highest hiring targets in company history. The growing demand for talent has increased recruiters’ workloads, making it harder to efficiently fill roles with top-quality candidates while keeping all applicants updated and engaged throughout the hiring process.

 

The focus

Since implementing the Clinch Recruitment Marketing Suite, Golden Hippo has built a successful inbound recruiting strategy in partnership with their employer branding team. By growing an engaged talent community within the Clinch CRM, their recruiters have a first port of call to go to when sourcing candidates that are already aware of their brand.

To take their proactive recruitment strategy a step further and build on their inbound success, Golden Hippo wanted to uplift their outbound sourcing efforts by leveraging the new Clinch LinkedIn CRM Connect integration. By actively sourcing candidates, Golden Hippo aimed to increase the efficiency and time taken to fill their increasing number of roles, including high-volume and hard-to-fill positions.

The solution

Golden Hippo was one of the first Clinch customers to adopt the new LinkedIn CRM Connect integration. It enables talent acquisition teams to sync data between their Clinch CRM and LinkedIn Recruiter, enhancing productivity, and saving critical time previously spent navigating between systems.

The integration has reduced the amount of movement between systems, saving each recruiter 5 hours a week on sourcing and outreach. Golden Hippo can now view LinkedIn profiles, applicant history and communications directly in Clinch. When sourcing in LinkedIn, they can easily identify which candidates already exist in their Clinch CRM. The integration has empowered them to source more effectively, reaching 16% of total hires from proactive sourcing, an increase of 5% from the previous year.

With just one click, Golden Hippo can now export candidates from LinkedIn into Clinch, where they can communicate through additional channels including SMS and email. Using Clinch behavioral insights, Golden Hippo can personalize communications based on candidate activity and content they have engaged with on their career site.

Alongside personalized outreach and communications, Golden Hippo uses the nurture workflows in Clinch to ensure an outstanding candidate experience. When recruiting for roles with multiple head counts and high volume, they’re able to retain candidates throughout the process and notify them of a high number of applicants.

By nurturing silver medalists using the Clinch CRM recruiter workflows, they have swiftly filled similar positions with qualified candidates.

This has reduced the time roles are open by 25%, from over 60 days, down to 45 days.
